Overview: The International Foundation for Alternative Research in AIDS (IFARA) is a 501c nonprofit, dedicated to providing in-depth educational programming for those affected by HIV, Hepatitis, and other comorbitities. Panels and interviews are assembled and recorded at various conferences throughout the year, as official affiliate events.

IFARA’s programming is intended to educate the patient community about the science of these infections and ailments, create awareness about current treatments, provide an accessible account of cutting edge research, and ultimately engender an informed and engaged patient community.

What events are covered?

IFARA gathers together experts for video panels and interviews each year at the Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections; the International AIDS Society Conference on HIV Pathogenesis, Treatment, and Prevention; and the International Workshop on HIV and Aging.

Where can I view your programs?

IFARA’s panels and interviews are stored in our online video archive. AIDS Service Organizations across the country also make us of our videos through organized webcast events which are attended by patients, doctors, and community advocates. Programs are broadcast to a network of local cable stations, and DVDs are distributed free of charge to libraries.
